Terms of Use

tunescout is an independent music-identification tool. It is not affiliated with YouTube, Google, Shazam or the supported video platforms.

Using the service

Use tunescout only with public content you are permitted to access. Do not use the service to violate copyright, platform rules, privacy rights or applicable law. Do not attempt to overload, scrape or disrupt the service, bypass access restrictions or use it to identify private material.

Results and availability

Recognition results can be incomplete, delayed or incorrect. We do not guarantee that every video, platform or track can be accessed or identified. Features of this free beta can change or become unavailable at any time.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account access secure. You may delete your account at any time. We may restrict or remove accounts used for abuse, automated misuse or attempts to interfere with the service.

Audio separation

Only upload audio you own or are otherwise permitted to process. Separation results are automated and their quality is not guaranteed. One credit represents one started second of submitted audio, with a one-minute minimum per job. Credits are an internal usage allowance, cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash and are restored when a technical failure prevents a separation from completing. Purchased minute packs expire after two years unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Uploaded audio is removed after the job finishes or fails; completed stems are deleted 24 hours after they become ready, so you are responsible for downloading anything you want to keep.

Paid plans

Displayed prices and billing periods are confirmed again in Stripe Checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and remain available through the paid billing period after cancellation. The included Separation-minute allowance resets to the plan amount each plan month; unused included minutes do not roll over. Separately purchased minute packs remain available for their stated validity period and are not removed by the monthly reset. Scan allowances reset each month. Quick and Timestamp scans remain subject to fair-use and abuse protection. Statutory cancellation, withdrawal, refund and warranty rights remain unaffected.

Third-party platforms

Your use of video platforms, Spotify and Apple Music remains subject to their respective terms and policies. Playlist export depends on the provider's API, catalogue matching and your continuing authorization, and can be delayed or unavailable. tunescout does not grant rights to any video, recording or other third-party content.
